Bike/Walk-A-Thon
Come and cycle or walk in Sherwood Park on Friday July 4 to raise money for MCC! All events begin and end at Sherwood Park's Millennium Place. Your $20 registration fee includes a T-shirt and one ticket for a beef supper which begins at 4:30 PM.
You can join a 60 km or 100 km Bike-A-Thon which will take you through a wide variety of beautiful rural countryside. There will be support vehicles as well as rest stops along the way. Lunch will be provided for both groups at an acreage southeast of Sherwood Park. Kids and those interested in a shorter route are invited to participate in a 17 km Bike-A-Thon on bike paths throughout Sherwood Park. A stop at MacDonald's is included in this ride.
If you enjoy walking you are invited to join a 5 km or 9 km Walk-A-Thon on urban paths in Sherwood Park. A snack will be provided at the half-way point for the 9 km event.

Register for an event by completing and returning a registration form to MCC with
the $25 registration fee. A sponsor & information sheet will be forwarded as soon
as we receive your registration. Registration deadline: June 15, 2008

Raise and collect pledges and submit the money on or before the event.
There will be door prizes and prizes for participants raising the most money

Participants need to be at Millennium Place to register for their events as follows:
60 and 100 km Bike-A-Thons - 8:15 to 8:45 AM 5 and 9 km Walk-A-Thons - noon to 12:15 Kids ride - 12:30 to 1:00 PM |

Begin your event where you will make new friends as you ride or walk and as you
visit over lunch or at snack and rest stops.

| Bring: |
Helmets for cyclists (mandatory), water bottle, sunscreen and reflective clothing.
We are expecting a clear and calm 22 Deg C day however, in the event that God decides to make the events more challenging you are advised to bring rain gear. |
